New Write and Wipe MAGNA-MOUNT Sheets and Boards

Self-adhesive backed with a bright white write and wipe front surface, these mount anywhere boards and sheets are great in the kid's bedrooms, the kitchen or anywhere you want a magnetically attractive write and wipe surface. Just peel off the protective paper backing to reveal the self-adhesive back. Stick it on any smooth wall and you're ready to make an art statement or write a shopping list. Leave notes for friends and family members or post drawings, photos or lists magnetically. Our MAGNA-MOUNT Write and Wipe boards are made to accept magnets of any type or strength and colored write and wipe markers. Just use a rag or paper towel to erase your scribblings right away after drawing or any time later. They wipe clean and are ready to use again and again.

How MAGNA-MOUNT sheeting works

MAGNA-MOUNT sheets are not sheet magnets. They look like sheet magnet but are more like flexible sheets of steel with a Write and Wipe surface and a self-adhesive back. Sheet magnets have millions of steel particles that are magnified by passing them through an electromagnetic field. Sheet magnets have alternating North and South lines of magnetic attraction that run from one end of the roll to the other like the lines on a sheet of paper. All magnets are attracted to each other by opposite poles. In other words, the North pole lines match up to and stick to the South pole lines of magnetic attraction in sheet magnet. If you placed two pieces of sheet magnet against each other, they would stick but not until they "shifted" slightly to the right or left to line up the lines of opposite magnetic attraction. Sheets of magnet placed with their lines of magnetic attraction at right angles to each other would not stick very well.

This magnetic "shifting" was a problem that lead us to design MAGNA-MOUNT material. MAGNA-MOUNT material comes in sheet form, white Write and Wipe vinyl on the front and self-adhesive on the back. It looks like sheet magnet and is flexible but it is not magnified like the sheet magnet. The iron particles in MAGNA-MOUNT sheeting attract sheet magnets evenly at any place you choose to mount it. There is no shifting and magnets stick strong and tight to MAGNA-MOUNT sheets and boards. If you use self-adhesive backed sheet magnet on a wall to mount other magnets, there is a danger of destroying the magnetic lines of attraction and permanently altering the sheet magnet. That's why we developed MAGNA-MOUNT material.

A few narrow strips of MAGNA-MOUNT material stuck on a wall can be used to support our magnetic frames. Our Original Soft Pocket frames are best for this use. Their backsides are 100% strong sheet magnet from corner to corner and edge to edge.
