Here is a great way to stop a draft or redirect air flow to needed areas for added comfort. Just place a magnetic sheet vent cover over any steel wall vent. These vent covers are available in black or white magnet. Each magnetic vent cover is custom cut to size to your specifications. The magnetic vent covers are made from the thickest quality magnet available to stick to a steel vent. Be sure to test your vent with a magnet to make sure it is steel.

Simply measure the height and width of your steel vent and contact us with your dimensions. We can cut them to most any custom size, but we are restricted to 40 inch wide white material and 24 inch black material. The 30-mil thick, high-quality, american made, magnetic cover can be painted or wallpapered to match any room decor.

Prices are determined by the size of your vent in square inches. Multiply the height by the width and then multiply by $.04. This will give you the price before shipping is added.

This product is intended for use on steel wall and floor vents. Installs easily, magnetically seals steel register vents. Trims easily with scissors if necessary. Vent covers are a custom cut product. They cannot be returned for a refund. Please be sure of your measurements before you place your order. Also, be sure to test your vent with a magnet to make sure it is steel. The magnet must make good solid contact with the flat steel areas of the vent to stick. Thin louvers will not present a good magnetically attractive surface for the magnet. Screw heads sticking up may hold the magnet away from the flat surface of the vent and prohibit it from sticking. Screws with countersunk heads should be substituted for raised screw head screws. Control handles for vents can be in the way of the magnet and keep it from sticking to the flat steel areas. The magnet is easily trimmed or cut with scissors so you may be able to adjust the magnet for protruding control handles. All vents are different and we have no way of knowing if sheet magnet will solve your particular vent problem. Please make all necessary tests to determine the usability of our vent cover for your purposes before ordering. The responsibility for determining if our magnetic sheeting is what you want rests with you.

Larger Vent Covers Must Be Shipped Rolled
After you receive your vent cover it is necessary to get the magnet to lay flat before trying to stick it to your vent. A sheet magnet with a memory curve will not stick well as it will curl away from the vent. One way to help get rid of the memory of a roll is to roll the magnet again against the curve caused by rolling it for shipment. Sticking it on a flat metal surface like the side of your kitchen fridge for a couple of days will also help. It may also help to heat the magnet with a hand held hair dryer while it is stuck to your fridge.

Some vents are flat and others are curved and multi-layered. Some have a vent control handle in the center or off to one side. Some are plastic, or aluminum while most are steel. Some have more thin louvers than others and some have more flat surface area than others. It is necessary for the vent to have sufficient flat areas of steel for the sheet magnet to stick to. Unfortunately, we can not accept returns for custom cut vent covers.

All vents are made differently and ceiling vents can be more difficult to cover with magnetic covers because they are flat against the ceiling and gravity pulls down so much more strongly on the entire magnet at the same time. 30 mil sheet magnet is not light. If there is not enough flat steel on the vent to hold the magnet, it can fall easily, especially if there is air pressure behind the cover. For this special need we have created our special lightweight magnetic ceiling vent covers. They are made of heavy duty white sheet vinyl with a border of solid 60 mil sheet magnet around the outer edge. This magnet will make good solid contact with the flat steel of the vent. Magnet touching the thin edges of the louvers of the vent will do little to hold the magnet's weight. Only magnet touching flat steel will hold the cover. Be sure to test your vent with a magnet to make sure it is steel. Carefully measure your vents before placing your order. Our covers will fit only as well as you measure.
